End of Day Safety Reminders
Please ensure that when our safety patrollers are outside in the afternoons you are crossing at the patrolled crosswalk only and waiting until the patrol team signals.
Crossing the street before our patrollers and/or crossing at an unmonitored crosswalk increases safety concerns for families, students, drivers, and our patrol team.

Term 1 Report Cards Timeline
Please note that to ensure a complete body of reporting evidence, all CBE Term 1 report cards will now be available to families online starting February 20th. Report Cards will include indicators (all subjects) and written comments (ELAL and Mathematics).
A MyCBE account allows parents and guardians to access student information; including report cards, assignments and grades, and attendance. For best access to information, log in to the MyCBE portal directly instead of using the PowerSchool App.
Winter Spirit Week
Winter Spirit week runs from December 15th – 19th. Student participation is welcomed and encouraged but is not a requirement.
- Monday – Decorating Day
- Tuesday – Winter Sweater Day
- Wednesday – Culture Day/Fancy Dress Day (students are invited to showcase their cultural wear and/or fanciest outfits)
- Thursday – Winter Sock Hop in the Gym (Fun winter socks welcome!)
- Friday – Pajama Day
Kindergarten Registration 2026-27
Kindergarten registration for the 2026-27 school year will begin on Monday Jan. 12, 2026. Children can be registered for kindergarten if they turn five years old on or before Dec. 31 of the school year they will be in kindergarten. For example, when registering for the 2026-27 school year, the child must turn five on or before Dec. 31, 2026.
Blue Dot Days
The weather has shifted these past few days! When our school website indicates the temperature is –20 or below, this is considered a blue dot day.
On blue dot mornings, supervisors will welcome students directly into the school starting at 7:50am. At that temperature, students will stay inside for recess, and AMA Safety Patrols will be cancelled.
Winter Celebration
Our Winter Celebration is on January 29th from 4pm-7pm. We have booked the Skate Shack again this year with the support of our School Council and will share additional updates and information with families in the new year.
