It was wonderful to have students back in the building. We hope everyone enjoyed a restful break and are settling back into routine this week.

Bussing Safety

As we return to classes, a reminder that there should be no vehicles stopped in the bus zone along the South school fence. To safely park each bus we need additional space, and sandwich boards have been put out as a reminder to families. We will continue to be outside to ensure there is enough room for our buses to load and unload and appreciate you moving your vehicle when asked by a staff member.

Please also remain aware of all people using the crosswalks when dropping off and picking up students. We are working with our transportation providers to ensure safe pick-ups and drop-offs from school and appreciate your attention and support with this important safety matter.

Grade 3 and 5 Social Emotional Learning

As a reminder, our Grade 3 and 5 classes will be participating in a social emotional learning program provided by McMan Family Services. Trained facilitators will join these classrooms to provide meaningful instruction and activities to support the development of student’s emotional regulation, self-confidence and social skills. This one-hour program will occur in classrooms weekly, beginning on January 15th (Grade 5) and 16th (Grade 3).
