Spring Celebration and Welcome to Kindergarten
Our Spring Celebration will take place on May 21 from 4:00–7:00 p.m. We are looking forward to an evening of fun and connection, with activities inspired by our school wide social-emotional learning program, Courageous Cougars.
Before our Spring Celebration, from 3:30pm – 4:00pm, we will be hosting Welcome to Kindergarten for our 2026-27 Kindergarten students. More information has been shared with registered students and their families.
Spring Photos
Lifetouch will be at Keeler School on May 5 & 6 for Spring Individual Photos. Order information will be sent home with families after photos have been taken.
Active & Safe Route to Schools Program
This year, we’ve partnered with Ever Active and the City of Calgary to be part of the Active & Safe Routes to School project.
Our Grade 3 students have started to learn about safe travel in class this week and will be participating as student ambassadors for the duration of this program. We are excited to support the initiatives students suggest encouraging active and safe travel within school zones with the help of Ever Active Schools.
Allergies Reminder
We would like families to be aware that we have several students within the school with allergies and are reminding both parents and students about the possibility of nuts causing severe allergic reactions in some people.
Please ensure students bring packed lunches that are free of nuts and nut products whenever possible. Students are also reminded to eat only what they bring and not to share food. Those who are supported by our food supports programs are always provided with food that is allergy aware.
Support with Fee Waivers | May 20th
If you have outstanding fees and are interested in applying for a fee waiver, a Community Liason from the CBE Fee Waiver Team will be at Keeler School on May 20th at the following times:
- Appointments are available from 11am - 2pm (30 minute blocks)
- Drop in from 2pm - 3:30pm
This support is intended to help families apply for Central Fee Waivers for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 school years.
Please bring one of the following documents to apply:
- 2024 or 2025 Notice of Assessment (showing your name, tax year and line 15000) for all adults in the family
- Current Fair Entry letter (showing names and date of coverage)
- Current AISH/Alberta Works card (showing names and date of coverage)
