Sound Kreations

A reminder that Sound Kreations is coming to Keeler for the next two weeks!  All grades will have the opportunity to participate in this curricular-aligned activity to support growth and learning in physical literacy and artistic expression.

Please be sure to sign and return Acknowledgement of Risk forms to ensure your child is able to participate. Without a returned form, students will participate in alternative movement activities.

If you are in need of an Acknowledgement of Risk form, a digital copy has been sent home to families over email.

Volunteer Tea

A reminder that the Volunteer Tea is coming soon! To show our appreciation, we would like to invite any family members who have volunteered this year with Keeler school to please join us for our Volunteer Tea on June 4th at 9:00am.

We have planned a special morning to celebrate and thank you for all that you do. Please RSVP to Rachel Scotland at rascotland@cbe.ab.ca if you are planning to attend.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Kiwanis Diversity Cup

Our Grades 5 & 6 soccer team has been practicing for the upcoming Kiwanis Diversity Cup on June 14th and 15th.  Diversity Cup is centered around the 4 pillars of Respect, Teamwork, Leadership, and Fair Play. These games are for fun (no winners and losers), and banners are given to schools who show strong skills in any of the 4 areas.

The team was selected by random draw. Families of students who were not selected this year are welcome to come out and support our team on these days. All children attending must bring an adult with them and be supervised at all times during the tournament. The games will be held at the Forest Lawn fields from approximately 9am-5pm each day.

June Spirit Days

Keeler Spirit Days are back! Please note that taking part in Spirit Days are completely optional.

We ask that families ensure any costumes or clothing on Spirit Days only include items that can worn, and not those that need to be held (ie. No props please).

  • June 24 – Beach Day!  Students are encouraged to wear their favorite summer/beach clothing. This will also be our school activity day from 1:00-2:00pm
  • June 25 – Backwards/Opposites Day!  Students are invited to wear socks, hats, or clothing backwards
