Thank You!
We have lots to be thankful for this week! Thank you to our wonderful students and families for their participation in the Terry Fox run, and for bringing in Toonies for Terry this week. Together we fundraised over $200 for cancer research on behalf of the Terry Fox Association.
We would also like to express our gratitude to the families and students who joined us for our Meet the Teacher BBQ last night, and to those who wore orange shirts today to demonstrate their support for residential school survivors and their families. We are lucky to be a part of this school community.
No School September 29th and 30th
A friendly reminder there is no school on Monday, September 29th or Tuesday, September 30th. We are excited to see everyone back in class on Wednesday, October 1st.
Demographic Verification Forms
A reminder to families to complete your child's demographic verification for the 2025-26 school year as soon as possible. These forms can be found through your MyCBE account and are required to be updated yearly.
Please contact the school with any questions or for support.

Transportation Safety Message and Patrols
Grade 5 and 6 student volunteers participated in AMA safety patrol training this morning. Schedules will be shared with participating families next week, and we plan to start patrols on October 6th after school.
In preparation for our student patrol team to be outside at the end of the day, please review the following safety messages from CBE transportation:
- Watch for school buses. They have big blind spots, poor maneuverability and need lots of space to move.
- Scan for pedestrians between parked vehicles and at all crosswalks
- Do not enter school bus loading zones. Please stop or park in designated zones only so buses can safely pull into their designated space.
Important Dates
September 29: Organizational Day – No School
September 30: National Day for Truth and Reconciliation – No School
October 15-16: Fall Photo Days
We hope everyone enjoys a wonderful long weekend with their families!
