CBE Well-Being Student Survey 

Families of students in Grades 4, 5, and 6 received notice this week that the CBE Well-Being Student Survey will be administered between November 16 – November 26. 

This survey is optional, anonymous, and takes place in class with the support of the classroom teacher. Responses will be used to inform school decisions and support the well-being of all students.  

This year, families can either consent or not consent to the participation of their children in CBE surveys through completing their demographic verification forms. If you have any questions, please reach out to the school office. 

Video Surveillance System 

Our school now has a video surveillance system to help maintain a safe and secure environment at the school for students, staff and the public, and to help address vandalism and criminal activity on school property. 

The video surveillance system is installed and reviewed in accordance with Administrative Regulation 1066. Personal information is collected under the authority of the Education Act and the Protection of Privacy Act (POPA), specifically section 10(1) and the Access to Information Act (ATIA) . 

This technology can be placed in areas such as the school parking lot, building entrances and exits, stairwells and hallways. This information is recorded and collected to help maintain a safe and secure environment in the school and on school property. The users of this information are the principal or designate and law enforcement personnel in the case of reported incidents that would require an investigation. Only authorized persons will review video surveillance information. 

Inquiries concerning the video surveillance system, or the collection and use of recorded information may be made by contacting the school office. 

Photo Retakes 

Lifetouch will be at Keeler on November 17^th for school photo retakes. If you would like your child to participate in photo retakes, please contact their classroom teacher. 

If your student cannot make it to retake day, Lifetouch is also hosting fall photos in their studio (5329 72 Ave SE #30) on Friday Nov. 13 and Saturday Nov. 21. Please see the attached flyer for additional information. 

School Conferences 

School conferences will be held on November 26^th from 3:30pm – 7:30pm, and on November 27th from 8am – 12pm. 

Each conference is 15 minutes long and provides an opportunity to connect with your child’s classroom teacher to discuss their learning and progress. Appointment booking will open on November 16^th and can be done through your PowerSchool account. If you have more than one child, you will need to book conferences with each of their teachers.
